Shipping, delivery and returns

Every painting leaves the studio packed for a long journey and arrives insured for what you paid. What follows is the whole process, without small print.

Where the work ships from

All originals ship from the artist’s studio in Florida, United States.

Where we ship

Destination is agreed before any payment is made. Write to the studio with the delivery address and we will confirm whether the work can travel there and what carriage will cost.

Preparation and transit

Oil has to be fully dry before a painting can be wrapped, so the studio confirms a date range for each work in writing rather than quoting a standard turnaround. Carrier and packing are settled the same way, per shipment, and confirmed to you before payment. Transit insurance is always for the full purchase price, so the figure never has to be negotiated.

On arrival

Keep the packaging until you have looked at the painting in daylight. If anything has moved in transit, photograph the crate and the surface before unwrapping any further and write to the studio the same day — a claim needs the packaging as evidence.

Customs and import charges

Prices do not include duty, import VAT or customs handling. On an international delivery those are set by the destination country, charged to the person receiving the work, and payable before the carrier will release it. The studio declares the full purchase price on the paperwork, because that is what the work is insured for — a lower declared value is not something the studio will write.

Returns

Each painting exists once and is sold after direct correspondence with the artist. Sales are final: the studio does not take returns or exchanges.

That is also why nothing is rushed before payment. Condition, exact dimensions, the surface the work is painted on, framing and delivery are all answered in writing first, and further photographs of a specific painting are made on request. If a question matters to your decision, ask it before you pay rather than after.

Commissions

The studio does not take commissioned work. What is available is what you see on the portfolio.
